The Project Manager is responsible for overall project planning, coordination, budgeting, scheduling, and execution. This role requires strong leadership, a deep understanding of construction processes, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This is a remote position requiring up to 50% travel to oversee military housing construction projects onsite at various military base locations.\r\nEssential Duties And Responsibilities\r\nProject Planning & Preconstruction\r\nLead preconstruction efforts including estimating support, schedule development, logistics planning, and procurement strategy.\r\nCoordinate with owners, architects, engineers, and consultants to finalize design intent and project requirements.\r\nReview and negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.\r\nTeam Leadership\r\nOversee and mentor project teams including assistant project managers, project engineers, and field staff.\r\nFacilitate regular project team meetings to ensure alignment on goals, responsibilities, and timelines.\r\nServe as the primary point of contact between the client and the construction team.\r\nScheduling & Execution\r\nDevelop and maintain comprehensive project schedules using tools like Microsoft Project or Primavera.\r\nEnsure adherence to the project timeline, identifying and mitigating potential delays or disruptions.\r\nCoordinate sequencing of work, materials delivery, and subcontractor activities.\r\nFinancial Management\r\nManage project budgets including forecasting, cost tracking, and variance analysis.\r\nReview and approve subcontractor and vendor invoices, change orders, and pay applications.\r\nMaintain profitability by controlling costs, negotiating subcontractor pricing, and avoiding scope creep.\r\nSubcontractor & Vendor Management\r\nProcure, negotiate, and manage subcontractor and supplier contracts.\r\nMonitor subcontractor performance, ensure adherence to scope, and resolve disputes when necessary.\r\nEnforce compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.\r\nQuality Assurance & Safety\r\nOversee implementation of project-specific Quality Control Plans.\r\nConduct regular site walks to monitor quality, safety, and progress.\r\nEnsure project site is operating in compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.\r\nClient Relations & Communication\r\nFoster strong relationships with clients, design teams, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.\r\nProvide regular project updates including progress reports, budget status, and risk assessments.\r\nAddress client concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring client satisfaction.\r\nProject Closeout\r\nManage final inspections, commissioning, punch list completion, and document turnover.\r\nOversee the submission of warranties, as-built drawings, and O&M manuals.\r\nConduct post-project evaluations to identify areas for process improvement.\r\nQualifications\r\nMinimum 4-year degree in an accredited construction related program or equivalent; or five to ten years general contracting experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.\r\nDemonstrated skills in construction project management.\r\nExperience in general contracting.\r\nProven ability to manage commercial, residential, or institutional projects.\r\nStrong knowledge of construction contracts, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.\r\nProficient in Microsoft Office Suite and email; and must have the capability of becoming proficient with various Programs and Applications related to the work such as Smart Sheet, Procore, Building Connected, and other project management software.\r\nOSHA 30, or ability to acquire, is required.\r\nState/local General Contractors license is preferred.\r\nPMP and CQMC are preferred.\r\nLEED Accreditation or experience with sustainable building practices is preferred.\r\nAbility to multitask, manage priorities, and work in a fast-paced environment.\r\nExcellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.\r\nPay & Benefits\r\nThe anticipated compensation range for the position is $XX,XXX to $XX,XXX, is based on a full-time schedule, market and business conditions, and is commensurate on individual education, qualifications, and experience.
