Coordinate\nlocal compliance with DFA policies and procedures and ensure cooperation with enterprise-wide functional departments.\n\nJOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nMaintain adequate accounting system records, ensure timely completion of standard procedures (i.e., period\nend closing, financial statement analysis, and daily accounting transactions), and consistently enhance controls\nand business solutions designed to mitigate financial risk\n\nPrepare annual budget, financial reports, cost reports, financial forecasts, regulatory reports, and monthly milk\nreporting. Analyze variances and determine reasons and explanations. Interface with leadership, regulators, and\ngovernment agencies as necessary\n\nDirect monthly general ledger closing process, ensure completion of journal entries, and manage report\ncompletion, including purchase price variance analysis, production variance analysis, cost savings, balance\nsheet reconciliations, and spending analysis\n\nPrepare and distribute periodic plant/area/group financial analysis or business summaries, including insightful\ncommentaries detailing issues, opportunities, and action plans\n\nProvide routine or ad hoc analysis and communicate with leadership regarding significant financial performance\nvariances\n\nWork closely with leadership to identify opportunities and develop strategies, understand internal business\noperations, and make decisions on process development and implementation to increase efficiencies and create\ncost savings\n\nEnsure positive cash position, protect assets, identify profit improvement opportunities, and comply with all\nregulatory requirements\n\nEnsure accuracy and timeliness of inventory transactions, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets,\nand internal controls\n\nLead personnel in monitoring and maintaining Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and serve as member of\nprocess improvement team and assist in cost savings initiatives\n\nManage employees, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and performance\nmanagement if have direct reports.
