Job Title: Renewables Vegetation Management SupervisorEmployment Type: W-2 OnlyLocation: IN 46392, United StatesJob SummaryThe Renewables Vegetation Management Supervisor is responsible for directing and managing seasonal vegetation management activities across renewable energy sites to maintain safe, compliant, and orderly site conditions. This role supervises a union workforce and focuses on safety, operational efficiency, environmental compliance, and vegetation management execution across multiple locations.QualificationsRequired Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent4–6 years of experience in Landscaping, Maintenance, or a related engineering discipline within a power plant, industrial process, or military environmentExperience leading and coordinating a union workforceStrong commitment to workplace safety and maintaining safe work practicesWorking knowledge of electrical systemsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously across various sitesStrong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with supervisors, peers, direct reports, and external support teamsFamiliarity with renewable energy assets, including solar/PV facilitiesPreferred Qualifications:Experience or formal training in power plant or industrial operationsKnowledge of project management and maintenance management practicesResponsibilitiesSupervise union craft personnel performing vegetation management activities using company-owned equipment, including zero-turn mowers, Tool-Cats with attachments, and tractors with bushhogsMaintain a safe work environment and ensure adherence to all safety policies and proceduresConduct pre-job safety briefings and consistently enforce safety standards and regulationsEnsure all work is performed in compliance with environmental permits, procedures, and company standardsLead the implementation and execution of vegetation management programsCoordinate with fleet teams and third-party vendors regarding spare parts requirements and equipment maintenance schedulesManage staffing needs and determine when overtime is requiredAdminister Employee Productivity Guidelines, Code of Conduct policies, and collective bargaining agreementsCommunicate work performance expectations and standards to employeesCollaborate closely with Renewable Maintenance Supervisors and other operational teamsTrain and evaluate employees on equipment operation, maintenance procedures, and safe work practicesAssist operating departments with equipment monitoring and troubleshooting abnormal operating conditionsDetermine maintenance scope and appropriate timing of repairsPerform and document safety observations for operations and maintenance activitiesPhysical DemandsThe physical requirements of this position are consistent with field-based supervision and oversight responsibilities within renewable energy facilities.NoteThe preceding description is not intended to be a complete list of all duties, responsibilities, or qualifications associated with the position.Please click on the link below for our company benefitshttps://docs.google.com/document/d/1q2mHf0U1akaC1ZKC65-VyyG3FrKBGNCahx3WpS2mj7M/edit?usp=sharingDTI is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
