Top candidates will be detail-oriented and have an above-average aptitude for trigonometry, geometry, and algebra. Additionally, possess analytical, time management and communication skills, and a willingness to learn and lead by example.\nCNC Machine Operator Skills\nReads and interprets work orders and blueprints (materials, specifications, and geometric dimensions and tolerances or GD&T) to machine products accurately\nPerforms inspections of equipment, structures, materials and products\nPrepares and loads raw materials and parts onto the machines\nMonitors the machines while they execute the tasks and makes any necessary adjustments to produce a better result\nUtilizes precision measuring tools to inspect and measure products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly\nDocuments actions by completing production and quality logs\nChecks and maintains machinery daily to ensure functionality\nMaintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations\nMaintains clear and honest communication\nLearns and applies the latest relevant knowledge to the work\nPossesses ethical behavior, attention to detail, self-motivation, precision, and enforces quality standards\nCNC Operator Requirements\nTrade School Certificate required.\nMachining Trade School Certification preferred.\nUp to 2 years of relevant experience in a machining or manufacturing role\nPrevious experience with Mazak (lathes & mills), Okuma (lathes), Haas (mill), Citizen (Swiss) is a plus\nComputer savvy and familiarity with programming and interpreting CNC software is a plus\nExperience utilizing a tow motor is a plus\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities are a plus\nCapable of setting up mills and lathes by installing fixtures, attachments, and tools necessary to complete jobs according to specifications is a plus\nCapable of programming the machine by entering instructions, including zero and reference points, setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches, calculating requirements, and proving part programs is a plus\n\nDISCLAIMER: The preceding job description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification.
