This position is designed for individuals interested in learning a skilled trade and building a long-term career in the energy efficiency and construction industry.\n\nAs training milestones are completed, participants become eligible for wage increases and advancement opportunities, with the goal of transitioning into full-time employment.\n\nDuties & Responsibilities\n\n* Assist with residential weatherization projects\n* Install insulation and air sealing materials\n* Learn to identify energy efficiency opportunities in homes\n* Assist with basic diagnostic testing and equipment setup\n* Maintain a clean and safe work environment\n* Load, unload, and transport tools and materials\n* Follow all safety procedures and company policies\n* Participate in required classroom and hands-on training\n\nPhysical Requirements\n\nApplicants must be able to:\n\n* Bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch frequently\n* Work in attics, crawlspaces, and confined areas\n* Climb ladders and navigate uneven surfaces\n* Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis\n* Work in varying temperatures and weather conditions\n* Stand and move for extended periods throughout the workday\n\nQualifications\n\n* High school diploma or equivalent preferred\n* Valid driver's license preferred\n* Reliable transportation\n* Ability to pass employer screening requirements\n* Positive attitude and willingness to learn\n* Strong work ethic and dependability\n\nCareer Path\n\nSuccessful apprentices may advance into positions such as:\n\n* Weatherization Technician\n* Energy Efficiency Installer\n* Crew Leader\n* Energy Auditor\n* Building Performance Technician\n\nNo previous experience is required.
