This is a highly technical leadership role offering the opportunity to serve as a subject matter expert in private foundation tax, supporting complex compliance and consulting engagements while partnering closely with firm leadership. This role plays a critical part in supporting and expanding the firm’s private foundation client base by delivering deep technical expertise and scalable solutions.This role can sit in any one of our office locations nationally.What it Means to Work for EisnerAmper:You will get to be part of one of the largest and fastest growing accounting and advisory firms in the industryYou will have the flexibility to manage your days in support of our commitment to work/life balanceYou will join a culture that has received multiple top “Places to Work” awardsWe believe that great work is accomplished when cultures, ideas and experiences come together to create new solutionsWe understand that embracing our differences is what unites us as a team and strengthens our foundationShowing up authentically is how we, both as professionals and a Firm, find inspiration to do our best workWhat Work You Will be Responsible For:Serve as a technical leader and subject matter expert in not-for-profit tax, with a focus on private foundations and related entitiesLead and review complex tax compliance engagements, including Form 990-PF and related filings, ensuring technical accuracy and qualityProactively advise internal teams and clients on private foundation tax matters, including excise taxes, distribution requirements, self-dealing rules, and governance considerationsPartner with engagement teams, client-facing partners, and senior stakeholders to deliver integrated tax solutions and provide technical expertise on complex issuesOversee and manage multiple engagements, including planning, execution, staffing, and delivery, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are metServe as a go-to resource for complex private foundation tax matters, providing guidance on nuanced regulatory and compliance issues across engagementsIdentify and resolve complex tax issues and provide practical, solution-oriented guidanceMentor and develop tax professionals, fostering technical excellence and knowledge sharing within the tax practiceCollaborate across service lines to support cross-functional client needs, including advisory, audit, and broader tax servicesStay current on evolving tax legislation and regulatory developments impacting not-for-profit organizations and private foundationsBasic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related fieldCPA required10+ years of progressive tax experience within public accountingDemonstrated deep expertise in not-for-profit tax, including private foundations, Form 990/990-PF, excise taxes, and related compliance requirementsExperience reviewing complex tax returns and managing engagements end-to-endProven ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skillsPreferred QualificationsMaster’s degree in Taxation, Accounting or related fieldExperience in contributing to practice development, training, and technical thought leadershipEisnerAmper is proud to be a merit-based employer.
