This is not a product design engineering role — the focus is on parts, components, manufacturability, supplier coordination, and risk reduction to ensure designs are production-ready.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nReview and support release of electronic, electromechanical, and mechanical components/parts\n\nEvaluate component lifecycle risks (Active, NRND, EOL), supplier availability, and alternate sourcing\n\nReview mechanical drawings for GD&T, tolerance stack‑ups, manufacturability, and DFM/DFA concerns\n\nWork closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and suppliers to resolve component and production issues\n\nSupport design transfer and manufacturing readiness activities\n\nEnsure component documentation, compliance, traceability, and PLM/ERP data accuracy (Propel / NetSuite)\n\nKey Requirements\n\n5+ years in Component Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Hardware Support, or similar role\n\nStrong experience working with parts/components rather than full product design ownership\n\nAbility to review drawings, tolerances, datasheets, and manufacturability concerns\n\nUnderstanding of machining, molding, sheet metal, and supplier manufacturing capabilities\n\nExperience in regulated industries preferred (medical device highly preferred)\n\nFamiliarity with DVT, design release, and production ramp processes\n\nKnowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack‑up analysis, and component risk mitigation\n\nA bit about us:\nWe are a leading medical device company that operates privately and is committed to enhancing the care and quality of life of patients with kidney disease.
