You will be groomed to master our financial architecture and leadership standards, preparing you for the broader strategic responsibilities of the VP office.\nWhat You Will Do:\nAs the Controller, you will serve as a strategic financial leader responsible for maintaining the highest standards of financial compliance, reporting integrity, and internal control. You will act as a change agent, driving process improvements and leveraging modern technologies to optimize financial operations. Beyond core accounting functions, you will provide expert guidance to leadership, supporting strategic planning, government contracting compliance, and data-driven decision-making.\nKey Responsibilities:\nFinancial Leadership & Oversight:\nDirect the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of financial reporting.\nDesign, implement, and maintain robust internal financial controls to safeguard assets.\nManage the preparation of forecasts, the annual operating plan, and strategic financial models.\nStrategic Business Partnership:\nServe as the primary financial subject matter expert, supporting the Business Unit Managers with high-level presentations and performance analytics.\nProvide expert guidance on pricing and proposal initiatives, ensuring strict adherence to government contracting requirements (FAR, DFAR, TINA, and CAS).\nCollaborate with cross-functional leadership to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.\nOperational Excellence & Transformation:\nChampion continuous improvement by leading value engineering and cost-reduction initiatives.\nPartner with IT to automate workflows and adopt new technologies, specifically focusing on data warehousing and business intelligence tools to enhance financial visibility.\nTeam Development:\nLead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of professional growth and accountability.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is required. An MBA or professional certification (CPA, CMA) is highly desired.\nExperience: 10+ years of progressive experience in finance roles, with significant exposure to the manufacturing or aerospace sectors.\nTechnical Proficiency:\nExpertise in GAAP and technical accounting.\nDemonstrated ability to perform detailed variance analysis (budget-to-actual, year-over-year).\nProven experience in government contract accounting (FAR/DFAR/TINA/CAS).\nAdvanced proficiency in Excel and experience with data warehousing or Power BI.\nLeadership: A track record of successfully managing cross-functional teams, complex projects, and large-scale operational change.\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to remain in a stationary position at a workstation for extended periods.\nFrequent use of office productivity machinery, including computers, printers, and document scanners.\nAbility to move throughout the office environment to coordinate with various departments.\nClose vision and ability to adjust focus for detailed analytical work.\nSalary Range:\nPlease note the typical hiring range is $147,900 - $200,100 annually.
