Quality Director

OVERVIEWWe are seeking a practical, hands-on Head of Quality  to lead quality operations within a high-volume food manufacturing environment. This role has full ownership of product quality, food safety programs, and quality systems across the site and plays a critical role in protecting customers, brands, and operations.This position is ideal for a quality leader with deep experience in food or ingredient manufacturing who can set standards, enforce consistency, and work closely with production to drive continuous improvement without slowing the business down.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESLead all Quality and food safety functions, including in-process checks, finished product release, and quality documentationOwn and maintain site quality systems, SOPs, specifications, and recordsEnsure compliance with food safety, regulatory, and customer requirementsServe as the primary site lead for quality issues, decisions, and escalationsOversee internal audits, customer audits, and regulatory inspectionsManage non-conformances, holds, complaints, and corrective actionsPartner with Operations, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to embed quality into daily productionTrack and report KPIs related to quality, food safety, and plant performanceLead, coach, and develop QC, sanitation, and quality staffDrive continuous improvement initiatives focused on consistency, waste reduction, and risk preventionQUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related technical field7+ years of progressive quality leadership experience within food manufacturingStrong working knowledge of food safety programs and quality systemsExperience leading audits and managing regulatory and customer interactionsProven ability to lead teams and influence production and plant leadershipDetail-oriented, decisive, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced plant settingPREFERRED EXPERIENCEHigh-volume or continuous manufacturing environmentsOversight of sanitation, HACCP, preventive controls, or GFSI programsExperience improving or scaling plant-level quality systemsExposure to lean manufacturing or continuous improvement initiativesWHAT IS OFFERED$120k-$170k base salaryStable, high growth, exciting, established manufacturing operationSenior leadership role with full ownership of site quality performanceOpportunity to shape quality culture and elevate standards across the companyLong-term growth potential for a proven quality leaderWHY THIS ROLEThis is a high-impact plant leadership role with direct responsibility for food safety, compliance, and product consistency.
