The Application Security Engineer works closely with application development, DevOps, risk management, and information security teams.Essential FunctionsPerform and support SAST, DAST, and SCA testingReview, validate, and track remediation of findingsPerform penetration testing against applications - Oversee remediation and metric reportingCoordinate internal and third-party penetration tests - Review results and participate in remediation plan developmentMentor developers in the area of secure coding practicesEmbed security controls throughout the SDLCProvide secure coding guidance and threat modeling supportAssist in securing AI-enabled applicationsReview architectures for data and model risksSupport audits and regulatory requirementsMaintain application security standardsAdditional Essential FunctionsEnsure compliance with Northwest's policies and procedures, and Federal/State regulationsNavigate Microsoft Office Software, computer applications, and software specific to the department in order to maximize technology tools and gain efficiencyWork as part of a teamWork with on-site equipmentQualificationsEducation: High School DiplomaWork Experience: 5 - 6 years Application security experience5 - 6 years Financial services experience5 - 6 years Penetration testing exposureLicenses and Certifications: CSSLP, GWAPT, OSCP Upon HireComp TIA Sec+ or CISSP Upon HireNorthwest is an equal opportunity employer.
