Your application is still being considered.** This position will serve as the recognized resource for development and administration of Wildlife Division communication strategies as it relates to communications need. This position will lead communications representative covering regional responsibilities for the northern lower peninsula and upper peninsula. The position will be expected to develop a full understanding of the Division’s programs, structure and policies. The individual will be expected to convey complicated wildlife information in an understandable manner to the media, public, DNR staff, educators and students. The individual will determine and create various tools that should be used to share Division messages. This individual will also provide support to the Design, Outreach and Communications (DOC) Unit Supervisor with oversight of short-term staff and additional administrative and program related projects.Position DescriptionThis position will be located in Marquette, Escanaba, Naubinway or Gaylord and will be determined based upon the successful candidate.About DNR Wildlife DivisionThe Department of Natural Resources is committed to the conservation, protection, management, use and enjoyment of the state's natural and cultural resources for current and future generations. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
EducationPossession of a bachelor's degree in English, journalism, communications, broadcasting, telecommunications, advertising, communication arts, public relations or a related field. ExperienceThree years of professional experience in preparing and disseminating informational and promotional materials equivalent to a Communications Representative, including one year equivalent to a Communications Representative P11.
