Estimator - New Home Construction

The Estimator is responsible for providing accurate material estimates and take-offs and creating and revising budgets for single family homes. This position is located at our corporate office but will require some travel to job sites. The Estimator will work closely with Purchasing, Construction, and Senior Management.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES·       Prepare material quantity take-offs·       Meet with Construction Managers and trades for on-site estimates·       Revise estimates based on plan revisions·       Thoroughly and accurately estimate and budget projects·       Review completed tasks for accuracy and quality·       Track, analyze and report job costs and margins·       Manage deadlines and goals and complete assignments in a timely mannerSKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS [required]·       5 years of experience estimating residential construction·       On-Screen Takeoff and Blue Beam software experience·       Thorough understanding of the homebuilding process and construction terminology ·       Thorough knowledge of estimating processes and procedures·       Proficient in Excel and learning new builder software·       Self-starter that can effectively manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with ability to prioritize, and meet deadlines ·       Excellent customer service, communication, math, negotiation and analytical skills·       High level of professionalism·       Ability to follow blueprints, drawings and specifications·       Associate degree  PREFERRED EXPERIENCE·       BuildPro software experience·       AutoCAD or Revit experience·       Bachelor’s degree
