Industrial Project Developer

POSITION SUMMARYThe Industrial Project Developer is responsible for managing projects from initial estimate through completion, ensuring budgets, schedules, manpower, and customer expectations are met. This role contributes directly to revenue, operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and safety compliance.The individual serves as the primary point of contact for customers, coordinates field teams, and ensures projects are executed safely, on time, and on budget.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESProject Management & Execution• Manage projects from estimate through completion, ensuring schedules, budgets, and quality standards are met.• Coordinate foremen and field crews, addressing resource needs and project challenges proactively.• Serve as the primary customer-facing contact, ensuring communication, satisfaction, and issue resolution.• Provide on-the-job leadership to foremen and helpers.• Participate in workforce scheduling discussions.• Document project progress and hazards.• Support continuous improvement of processes, tools, and project workflows.Estimating & Budgeting• Prepare accurate project estimates including labor, materials, and equipment.• Track project budgets and material usage, making adjustments to optimize profitability.• Approve or influence work orders, invoices, and other project documentation.Safety & Compliance• Ensure all projects comply with OSHA regulations and industry-standard safety practices.• Conduct Job Hazard Analyses, identify risks, and enforce proper safety protocols.• Complete required safety training and ensure field teams follow safety standards.ADDITIONAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESThis job description is intended to convey information essential to understanding the scope of the position and is not an exhaustive list of responsibilities. Additional duties may be assigned by leadership.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS• Knowledge of estimating, project management, and budgeting for MEP or mechanical projects.• Blueprint reading, ISO drawings, and math proficiency.• Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.• Computer proficiency, including Excel and dispatch/CRM systems.• Ability to work independently and lead teams effectively.• OSHA safety training and situational awareness.• Ability to pass pre-employment background check and other employment screenings as required.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS• Prior experience transitioning from field operations to project management.• Additional certifications in blueprint reading or project management.
