Pharmacy Technician, Central Fill

Refills and replenishes prescription requests in an automated central fill pharmacy setting. Under the supervision of a Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician prepares prescription orders and distributes medications in a fast-paced production environment. Maintains continuous, consistent work flow in order to meet daily production goals.Operates and manipulates automated machinery as trained, to complete medication orders as requiredReads computer-generated screens to find indicated merchandise on labeled shelves, verify the name and strength of the product before selecting orderPerforms cleaning of all assigned workstations and surrounding areasCounts or pours pharmaceuticalsPlaces pharmaceutical products in appropriate containers and affixes labels to containersReplenishes drug canisters for dispensing, from original manufacturer stock bottlesAssists in resolving prescription dispensing discrepanciesAssists with swapping full and empty drug canisters to and from the automation machineryMonitors prescription inventory for expired pharmaceuticalsMaintains the floor in a clean and orderly condition Receives and stores incoming suppliesAssists in stocking shelves and maintaining inventoryThe typical starting pay range for this position is between $17.25 per hourEDUCATION REQUIREMENTSEducation LevelArea of Specialization (Marketing, Finance, Pharmacy, Engineering/IT, etc)Required Or PreferredH.S.
