Position Title:Student Assistant – Administrative & Program SupportPosition Type:Student (Fixed Term)Hiring Range:Pay Frequency:HourlyPosition: Student Assistant – Administrative & Program SupportLocation: The Retail Management Institute, Lucas Hall Suite 111Hours: Maximum 19 hours per week Position Summary:The Student Assistant will provide administrative support to the Retail Management Institute through clerical tasks, scheduling, and front-desk coverage. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, organized student seeking professional office experience. The Assistant will also help with departmental programs by supporting coordination, communication, and resource management, while gaining skills in project support, customer service, and data management.Essential duties and Responsibilities:Greet visitors and students, provide information or assistanceAnswer and direct phone calls and emailsAssist with scheduling meetings and maintaining calendarsPrepare, proofread, and organize documents and correspondenceAssist with planning and logistics for meetings, workshops, or eventsMaintain and update program files, databases, and online resourcesAssist with basic website updates and development.Provide customer service to students, staff, and external partnersCollect and organize data for reporting.Assist with special projects and other duties as assignedQualifications:Strong organizational, time management and communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team settingDetail-oriented, reliable and professionalProficiency with Microsoft Office/Google SuiteAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive informationWillingness to work onsite with a flexible schedule, including some evenings.
