This role sits within the Engineering organization and partners closely with Engineering Managers, Product, QA, DevOps, and Data teams to ensure predictable delivery, high technical quality, and strong cross-functional alignment.\n\nThe ideal candidate brings engineering fluency, program rigor, and hands-on delivery leadership, like a Senior Engineering Manager, but with a primary focus on planning, execution, risk management, and delivery health rather than people management.\n\nWhat You’ll Do\n\nTechnical Program & Delivery Execution\n\nOwn end-to-end delivery of complex engineering programs spanning frontend, backend, data, and cloud platforms.\nLead complex programs of software delivery for global enterprise customers\nTranslate product and architectural initiatives into executable program plans with milestones, dependencies, and success metrics.\nDrive sprint execution, release readiness, and delivery predictability across multiple engineering pods.\nAct as the primary owner of delivery commitments, timelines, and risk mitigation.\n\nEngineering Partnership & Technical Acumen\n\nLead complex programs of software delivery for global enterprise customers\nTranslate product and architectural initiatives into executable program plans with milestones, dependencies, and success metrics.\n\nPartner closely with Engineering Managers and Tech Leads to:\nValidate scope feasibility and sequencing\nIdentify architectural or technical risks early\nEnsure delivery plans align with engineering standards and long-term platform strategy\nReview technical plans, architecture proposals, and delivery tradeoffs with an engineering-first mindset.\nParticipate in backlog grooming, sprint planning, and retrospectives to reinforce delivery discipline.\n\nCross-Functional Program Leadership\n\nCoordinate execution across Engineering, Product Management, QA, DevOps, and Data teams.\nServe as the first point of escalation for delivery risks, blockers, and cross-team dependencies.\nEnsure clear communication of program status, risks, and decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nDrive alignment across distributed teams and time zones.\n\nMetrics, Quality & Delivery Health\n\nDefine, track, and report on delivery KPIs, including:\nSprint predictability and velocity\nDependency burn-down\nDefect trends and release readiness\nCapacity and utilization signals\nPartner with QA and DevOps to ensure test coverage, CI/CD health, and release quality standards are met.\nReinforce a “first-time-right” engineering culture with strong attention to quality and sustainability.\n\nAI-Augmented Program Management\n\nLeverage AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, internal AI agents) to:\nAutomate status reporting and delivery insights\nAnalyze productivity trends and bottlenecks\nImprove planning accuracy and delivery transparency\nChampion modern, AI-enabled delivery practices across programs.\n\nTechnology Environment (Contextual, No Hands-on Coding Required)\n\nFrontend: Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript\nBackend: .NET Core, C#, Node.js\nData: SQL Server, Azure Data Lake, Databricks, Cosmos DB\nCloud & DevOps: Azure, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes\nQuality & Observability: Azure Monitor, Power BI\nSkills & Requirements\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\n\n6–10+ years of experience in technical program management, engineering delivery, or software project leadership.\nStrong technical foundation with the ability to engage credibly with senior engineers and engineering leadership.\nProven experience driving delivery across complex, cross-functional engineering programs.\nDeep understanding of Agile/Scrum delivery in SaaS environments.\nExperience working with modern cloud-native and full-stack engineering teams.\nStrong data-driven mindset with experience using delivery metrics to inform decisions.\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills.\n\nNice to Have\n\nBackground as a software engineer, engineering manager, or delivery manager prior to moving into TPM work.\nExperience in high-growth, transformation-stage, or PE-backed SaaS companies.\nExposure to AI-assisted development or delivery tooling.\nExperience working with globally distributed engineering teams.\n\nAbout the company\n\nMTech Systems helps the food production industry increase yield, improve animal welfare and achieve sustainability.
