Primary duties include driving trucks short and long distances to deliver a variety of products to and from job sites in compliance with all company safety policies and state and federal transportation regulations.\nThis position may also perform various warehouse duties including prioritizing and picking material to fill orders, loading and unloading products on delivery trucks and maintaining, handling, and moving the physical inventory as needed. This job requires heavy travel and Deployed Resources will pay for or reimburse necessary travel expenses.\nDuties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions\nPerform pre- and post-trip inspections on company vehicles\nRepair company equipment as needed to maintain serviceable condition\nBecome familiar with basic technology\nBasic understanding of and ability to comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.\nLoad and unload delivery trucks – requiring physical moving and lifting of product weighing as much as 150 pounds.\nTimely transportation of product from origin to destination as assigned\nAssist in verifying all incoming and outgoing product for accuracy in terms of amount, size and type, informing management of inventory and supply shortages as well as assisting in actual periodic inventory counts.\nMaintain professional representation of the Company in all interactions with customers and through responsible driving\nMaintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations, including driver’s logs, records of fuel purchases, mileage records and other records required by law and Company policies\nAbide by all Company safety policies and state and federal transportation regulations\nOperate powered industrial vehicles (forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers, etc.) in safe manner and maintain an operator license, if required\nCompile and submit regular reports of damaged, outdated stock or supplies, over and under shipments, return of products to vendor, etc. and segregate defective product from normal flow of inventory\nPrioritize and pick material to fill orders and stage product for loading\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nSkills and Specifications\nAbility to perform simple mathematical calculations and mental ability to handle receipts, read maps, road signs, maintain logs, etc.\nAbility to start, control and maintain a complete process or procedure, while keeping safety and compliance at the forefront\nPossess working knowledge of vehicle safety and control systems\nAbility to apply knowledge of commercial driving and skills in maneuvering vehicle at varying speeds in difficult situations, such as heavy traffic, inclement weather or in tight loading areas.\nPossess strong attention to detail and be able to establish and maintain professional and cooperative relationships with those contacted during the course of work\nPossess excellent time management and organizational skills\nExcellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts\nAbility to take written and oral direction\nAbility to work well with a team\nMust be local to Raeford, NC\nSupervisory Responsibility\nThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.\nWork Environment\nThis job operates in facility and field environments. We operate 24/7/365, inside and outside, in all weather conditions. This role routinely uses standard office equipment, hand tools, site equipment and vehicles, and is required to use and wear standard PPE, which will be provided by the company. There is an expectation of clear communication in English both written and orally.\nPhysical Demands\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Employee will be required to travel (at organization expense) in a truck/vehicle and/or aircraft. Expectation of exposure to weather (heat, cold, rain, snow) as operations occur in all areas of the country with potential for overseas travel. Lifting of up to 150 lbs may occur.
