As a Policy Communications Intern, you will play an active role in supporting the execution of Micron's global policy communications strategy. This internship offers hands-on experience in content creation, social media management, event monitoring, and cross-functional collaboration, all aimed at advancing Micron's policy objectives. Responsibilities Support the implementation of global policy communications strategies across integrated channels\nDraft communications materials including quotes, press releases, and messaging briefs\nManage and create content for the @MicronPolicy X account to meet engagement goals\nAttend and summarize congressional hearings and think tank events related to semiconductor and national security issues\nMonitor policy activities and industry news to identify engagement opportunities\nCollaborate with global communications, marketing, and digital teams to amplify narratives\nCopy edit and format internal and external communications products\nMinimum Qualifications Strong interest or experience in government, technology, defense, or semiconductor-related industries\nExcellent attention to detail and analytical skills\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nSelf-starter with a can-do attitude and eagerness to learn\nAI proficiency with LLMs or AI-enabled ways of working where applicable\nPreferred Qualifications Experience in communications, public affairs, or policy-related roles\nFamiliarity with social media strategy and content creation\nAbility to summarize complex policy topics for diverse audiences\nDemonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks\nExperience with copy editing and formatting professional communications\nThe US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:\n$37.91 - $37.91 an hour\nAdditional compensation may include benefits, bonuses and equity.\nOur salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base pay for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.
