Key Responsibilities • Manage a full workers' compensation defense caseload from inception through trial • Conduct depositions, hearings, and litigation-related proceedings • Develop and execute case strategy independently • Build and maintain strong client relationships • Mentor junior attorneys through structured training programs • Participate in business development initiatives Qualifications • J.D. from an accredited law school • Active California Bar admission or willingness to become California-barred • 5+ years of workers' compensation defense experience • Experience handling hearings, depositions, and full case management responsibilities • Ability to independently manage a high-volume practice • Strong communication, litigation, and client management skills • Commitment to workers' compensation defense as a long-term practice area Preferred Qualifications • California-focused workers' compensation defense experience • Insurance defense or civil litigation background • Existing client relationships or portable business • Demonstrated employment stability Compensation & Benefits • Base Salary: $140,000 – $200,000 • Monthly Bonus: $1,000 for achieving 225 billable hours • Additional Bonus: $40 per hour above 225 monthly billable hours • Business Development Bonus: $10 per hour on originated work • Flexible work arrangements including remote options • Structured mentorship and professional development programs • Clear partnership track Why Join? • Represent nationally recognized companies and professional sports teams • Transparent and lucrative bonus structure • Proven partnership opportunities • Supportive, family-oriented culture • Flexibility to work remotely, hybrid, or in-office across California
