The Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for developing new electrical designs in order to reduce cost and meet customer requirements. In addition, the Senior Electrical Engineer will work closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Purchasing and Sales personnel, ensuring production orders are produced correctly and on time.\n\n#LI-MM1\n\nA Day In The Life\nDesign Dry-Type Transformers and Reactors for low and high power applications, 1VA – 1.6 MVA at low frequencies (< 400hz).\nResponsible for new product designs and cost estimates.\nOrganize and maintain design project schedules.\nClearly organize and document product design records while following established system guidelines.\nProvide technical assistance to Customers, Technical Sales, Customer Service, Quality Assurance and Manufacturing.\nDesign to meet Agency/compliance requirements and internal quality standards and manufacturing practices.\nAssure product quality by designing effective electrical testing methods for manufacturing.\nMonitor prototyping efforts with manufacturing and vendors when applicable.\nLead electrical design for new products and make improvements to existing products to ensure ACME maintains a strong cost position.\nInterface directly with manufacturing team to resolve production issues.\nTravel as necessary to customer sites, meetings, conferences etc.\nCreate development and production drawings in SolidWorks.\nCreate Bills of Material and Routings for products within SAP.\nUpdate Engineering documentation.\nWhat will help you thrive in this role?\nBachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with 10 years’ experience or equivalent related engineering experience.\nExtensive experience in design of Power Distribution Unit (PDU) transformers for data center applications.\nExperience with Transformer Design software such as OPS, Ansoft or equivalents.\nUL/CSA, NEMA transformer standards knowledge preferred.\nAbility to read and create detailed technical wiring diagrams, schematics, and bill of materials.\nProficient in the use of Microsoft Office products.\n\nHubbell Incorporated\n\nHubbell creates critical infrastructure solutions that power our customers, communities, people and the planet.
