This is a full-stack role that involves writing Angular daily while carrying strong back-end depth with AI-assisted development embedded throughout.ResponsibilitiesConvert legacy JSF/PrimeFaces pages into Angular single-page applications, using AI-assisted analysis to accelerate the rewrite.Re-platform back-end functionality from JBoss-hosted Java apps to Spring Boot services.Remediate security and code-quality findings surfaced through enterprise governance tools.Deliver features, defect fixes, and tests as part of an existing Scrum team, leveraging AI coding tools across the SDLC.Requirements5+ years of professional software development.Current daily use of Angular (modern version) with TypeScript (this is a non-negotiable requirement).Strong full-stack/back-end capability using Java, JEE, and Spring Boot.Working-level skills with Oracle SQL.Experience in REST API development, Git, and automated build/deploy pipelines.Hands-on experience with AI coding tools.KC-local candidate with the ability and willingness to come on-site as needed.PreferredJSF/PrimeFaces experience and prior legacy-to-modern rewrite work.Experience with Security scanning/vulnerability remediation (Nexus IQ, SonarQube).Experience with AWS, Kafka, Okta, Snowflake, or Angular Material.Insurance or regulated-industry background.This is a 12-Month Contract opportunity with our Kansas City, MO, client with likely conversion to full-time in the second half of 2027. Work is KC-based, mostly remote (on-site as needed, a couple of times a month) for PI planning and team events.
