This role helps ensure that manufacturing processes and equipment meet quality standards and operate efficiently. The engineer assists in evaluating designs, diagnosing equipment issues, and recommending improvements to enhance performance, reliability, and cost effectiveness. Occasional assessment of field installations and suggestions for design modifications may be required.\nKey Responsibilities: Assist in the design, installation, modification, analysis, testing, and repair of mechanical systems, tools, engines, machines, and related equipment.\nRead and interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.\nCollaborate with engineers, technicians, and other team members to implement operating procedures, troubleshoot system malfunctions, and exchange technical information.\nReview customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and related documents to evaluate feasibility, cost, performance, and maintenance considerations.\nSpecify system components or support product modifications to ensure alignment with design intent and performance requirements.\nInvestigate equipment failures and performance issues, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions for maintenance and operational teams.\nConfers with Management and engineering staff to implement plans and recommendations.\nDevelops management systems for cost analysis, financial planning, and job evaluation and project justification.\nQualifications: Bachelor’s (B.S) in Mechanical Engineering or another engineering discipline required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.\n0–3 years of relevant experience.\nStrong oral and written communication skills.\nAbility to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively in team environments.\nStrong problem-solving and analytical skills.\nKnowledge of applied mechanics and design engineering concepts.\nFamiliarity with design optimization, design reviews, prototyping, and related engineering practices.\nExperience using CAD and CAE software tools.\nPreferred Skills: Sigma methodology, lean manufacturing, statistical process control.\nISO-9001 or 9002 standard\nRobotics, open die extrusion and cold forming, open die hot forging.\nSteel welding (MIG, TIG, SAW)\nHeat treatment, shot blasting, machining, conversion coating, painting and assembly.\nTrouble shooting, process improvement and project leadership.\nOther Requirements: Travel: Work Environment: Manufacturing/office work environment.\nBackground Investigation / Drug Screen / US Person: Required.\nPaligen Technologies is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
