Hospitalist Physician Medical Director - Mercy Medical Center, Springfield, MassachusettsWe have a full-time opportunity for a BC/BE Medical Director to join our well-established Critical Care practice at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts.Our hospitalist team provides inpatient internal medicine care within the hospital setting, including admitting patients, performing physical exams, ordering tests, diagnosing, performing hospital rounds and planning for discharge.The Medical Director is responsible for leading and managing the Adfinitas Health program and providers at the facility, implementing and executing Operational and Quality Initiatives, fostering and maintaining positive relationships with staff members as well as hospital clinical and administrative staff, and the financial performance of the program.RequirementsThree years experience as a hospitalistBE/BC in Internal or Family MedicineStrong inpatient skill setQuality-focused team playerDemonstrated knowledge of quality measures, such as HCAHPS, MHACSHigh ethical standards and a commitment to complianceStrong business judgment and acumen and ability to adapt strategically tactically and strategically Experience working with advanced practice providersExcellent organizational, time management and problem-solving skillsAbility to function effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary teamEffective oral and written communication skillsCommitment to providing exceptional patient careActive state license, American Heart Association CPR Certification, DEA License, state Controlled Substance RegistrationMERCY MEDICAL CENTER-Springfield, MADay coverage: 1 physicianNight Coverage: APP in the ICU; Intensivist backup by phoneEMR: MeditechDaily Census: 3-6ICU: Open
