You may be contacted by phone by recruitment personnel based in either Canada or New York.Work ShiftSecond Shift (United States of America)Job DescriptionThe Packing Auditor is responsible for conducting inspection of packing jobs for quality and conformance. The Packing Auditor will pack and wrap containers, band and tie products and materials in preparation for shipment.ResponsibilitiesInspect packing orders for completeness ensure orders conform to packing listsEnsure material quality and cleanliness prior to packaging; examine parts and replace broken itemsArrange for touch–up painting of parts as neededEnsure orders are packed in observance to shipping schedulesComplete all required documentation including taking photographs of the contents and filing electronicallyCoach and provide feedback on discrepancies in orderAll other duties as assigned by managementRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent2 years packing experience preferredComputer knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and other computer programsBasic mathematical skillsAbility to use hand tools requiring dexterityAbility to read tape measureAbility to read a blue printMust be able to communicate effectively with factory supervisionWork EnvironmentADA Physical/Mental/Workplace RequirementsAble to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Able to stand (75%); walk (20%); stoop, kneel or crouch (5%), as required.Able to climb portable laddersAble to wear safety glasses and foot protection throughout shift.Able to wear hearing protectors (ear plugs) throughout the shift while working in an environment with moderate noise levels.Gorbel® is an Equal Opportunity Employer that does not discriminate on the basis of actual or perceived race, creed, color, religion, alienage or national origin, ancestry, citizenship status, age, disability or handicap, gender, marital status, veteran status, sexual orientation, genetic information, arrest record, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state or local laws.
