This position offers an exciting opportunity to participate in the full engineering process, from concept validation through mass production support.\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nSustaining Engineering & Product Support\n\nProvide engineering support for existing products throughout their lifecycle.\n\nInvestigate and resolve product, manufacturing, and field‑related issues through structured root cause analysis.\n\nSupport New Item Adds (NIA), Engineering Change Requests (ECR), and Engineering Change Orders (ECO).\n\nParticipate in New Product Introduction (NPI) activities and transition products into manufacturing.\n\nDevelop and implement product improvements to enhance quality, reliability, manufacturability, and cost efficiency.\n\nValidate engineering designs and release products into mass production.\n\nDesign & Development\n\nCreate and modify electrical schematics and printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) using Altium Designer.\n\nSelect and qualify electronic components while considering cost, availability, performance, and reliability.\n\nDevelop, review, and maintain engineering documentation and technical specifications.\n\nSupport firmware and software development efforts as needed.\n\nManufacturing Support\n\nProvide direct engineering support to manufacturing operations.\n\nDefine, document, and maintain manufacturing procedures, work instructions, and rework processes.\n\nCollaborate with production teams to improve manufacturing efficiency and product quality.\n\nSupport failure analysis and corrective actions for production‑related issues.\n\nTesting & Troubleshooting\n\nPerform board‑level troubleshooting and failure analysis of electronic assemblies.\n\nUtilize laboratory and production test equipment, including:\n\nOscilloscopes\n\nSpectrum analyzers\n\nLogic analyzers\n\nDigital multimeters\n\nOther diagnostic and measurement equipment\n\nAnalyze test data and provide recommendations for corrective actions.\n\nCross‑Functional Collaboration\n\nWork closely with Engineering, Production, Repair, Purchasing, Quality, and Warehouse teams.\n\nParticipate in and lead cross‑functional projects as required.\n\nCommunicate technical information effectively to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.\n\nContribute to a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across departments.\n\nQualifications\nEducation\n\nBachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering required.\n\nExperience\n\nMinimum of five (5) years of Electrical Engineering experience preferred.\n\nExperience in Sustaining Engineering within a manufacturing environment.\n\nExperience supporting production and manufacturing operations.\n\nHands‑on manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.\n\nTechnical Skills\n\nAdvanced proficiency with Altium Designer for schematic capture and PCB design.\n\nStrong understanding of electronic circuit design, component selection, and PCB assembly processes.\n\nExperience with engineering change management processes, including:\n\nNew Product Introduction (NPI)\n\nNew Item Add (NIA)\n\nEngineering Change Requests (ECR)\n\nEngineering Change Orders (ECO)\n\nProgramming and scripting experience using:\n\nLinux\n\nPython\n\nC++\n\nSQL or equivalent technologies\n\nExperience using electronic test and measurement equipment.\n\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\n\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.\n\nStrong analytical and problem‑solving skills.\n\nExcellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.\n\nSelf‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and highly organized.\n\nAbility to manage multiple priorities while meeting project deadlines.\n\nDemonstrated leadership skills and the ability to lead or participate in cross‑disciplinary projects.\n\nCommitment to teamwork, continuous learning, and professional development.\n\nAbility to effectively communicate and collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, operations, and business teams.\n\nPhysical Demands, Equipment and Machinery\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
