The Paralegal will be responsible for utilizing their knowledge and skills to assist in managing the company’s litigation and/or regulatory matters, including the intake and tracking of matters, responding to subpoenas and other legal requests, improving the company’s legal processes, and assisting the legal team with contract review, management and prioritization. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced legal or business environment.Responsibilities:Assist in-house counsel with litigation, contract review and regulatory matter managementIntake, manage and track all litigation, including the receipt, organization, digital scanning, and distribution of daily incoming mail, as necessary.Coordinate the distribution within the business, collection, review, and production of documents and responses to legal requests including subpoenas, levies, garnishments, and discovery requestsAct as liaison among all parties including court or other neutrals for scheduling and sharing informationProviding legal and proofing review and document support for standard corporate agreements, such as non-disclosure, marketing, and independent contractor agreementsOrganize and manage documents, including the creation of spreadsheets and retrieval systemsCheck and edit legal forms and documents for accuracyBuild and maintain databases and filesQualifications:5+ years (minimum) of significant and substantive experience as a ParalegalBachelor’s Degree from recognized US college or universityParalegal certificate from an ABA accredited program preferred, or a combination of education and/or experienceLitigation, regulatory and contract matter management experience, including report-generating skillsHard working, well organized and able to manage numerous projects simultaneously under deadline pressuresExperience managing document productionsProficient with MS Office Suite - specifically Excel (a must)Working knowledge and competency with case management software, a plusThorough knowledge of legal communication principles and practicesExperience with regulatory examinations and internal investigations, a plusExperience with A.I. and other legal technology or software, a plusStrong attention to detailBasic legal research and investigation skillsAbility to follow direction and proceduresStrong written and oral communication skillsAbility to prioritize workload and assignmentsHigh degree of professional ethics and integrityExcellent judgement, analytical skills and decision makingSalary Range: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00Cross River is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
