Job description Business type Types of Jobs - Corporate & Investment Banking Job title VP, Business Manager for the Global and Repo Indexing in the Americas Contract type Permanent Contract Job summary Role Overview The Business Manager for Global and Repo Indexing ("GRI") supports the GRI business line in the U.S, working closely with the Trading desks. The role holder has a dual reporting to the GMD Business Manager for Trading locally, and to the COO for GRI globally. The role focuses on business execution, governance, and coordination across functions, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations, alignment with strategic objectives, and adherence to internal and regulatory requirements. The position offers a strong exposure to front office activities and interaction with teams locally and globally. Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Performance & ReportingSupport the monitoring of business performance, including revenues, balance sheet usage, and key financial metrics across Repo and Indexing activitiesProduce regular management reporting and analysis to support decision-makingAssist in the preparation of business reviews, budgets and forecasts.Business Management and ExecutionAct as the central coordination point between the GRI Trading desk and support functions (Risk, Finance, Compliance, Operations, and Technology)Support the execution of strategic initiatives and business-driven projectsSupport the implementation of new products, workflows and infrastructure enhancementsAssist in identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency and business performanceGovernance and ControlsSupport adherence to internal policies, risk framework, and regulatory requirements relevant to GRI Trading activitiesContribute to governance processes, including preparation of materials for committees and follow-up on action itemsAssist in the monitoring and escalation of operational and control issuesEnsure appropriate documentation around GRI trading activities.Head Office Coordination and AlignmentSupport communication and coordination between the U.S platform and Head Office, ensuring effective communication, transparency, and alignment with global business strategy and governance frameworksContribute to the preparation of regular updates on business performance, key initiatives, and risk topicsEnsure timely escalation of material issues, risks, or operational matters to the appropriate stakeholders in line with internal governance processesGovernance, Committees, Risk SupportSupport governance forms, including contributing to the New and Approved Products Committee process (documentation, tracking, follow-up)Assist in Business Continuity Planning (BCP) activities, including coordination of testing, documentation and periodic reviewContribute to the management of operational risk, including incident tracking and remediation follow-up Salary Range: $140k-$175k #LI-DNI Supplementary Information Key Responsibilities (Continued)Legal and Regulatory ResponsibilitiesComply with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal Compliance requirements, including, but not limited to, the CA-CIB New York/CAS Compliance manuals and Compliance policies and procedures as issued from time to time; Financial Security/Compliance requirements, including, but not limited to, the prevention of Financial Crime and Fraud including reporting obligations to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer, or local equivalent.Maintain appropriate knowledge to ensure to be fully qualified to undertake the role.Complete all mandatory training as requiredComply with all applicable conduct rules as prescribed by internal policies and/or relevant regulators Key Internal contactsGMD teams (locally and globally): Trading, Sales, Structuring and COO/Business managementSupport Functions (locally and globally): Risk and Permanent Control, Finance, Operations, Compliance, Legal, Infrastructure, Audit Key External contactsService providersConsultants Position location Geographical area America, United States Of America City NEW YORK Candidate criteria Minimal education level Postgraduate degree - MA/MSc/PhD/Doctorate or equivalent Academic qualification / Speciality Education Essential: Master's degree Level of minimal experience 6-10 years Experience Experience Essential: Minimum of 5 years' practical experience either in a business management, risk or operational role. Experience dealing with a broad range of stakeholders, from business to support functions partners. Experience Desirable: Knowledge and experience of working within a bank or broker-dealer in the US, and subsequent operational processes and requirements would be an advantage.
