The Electrical Apprentice works closely with more qualified technicians, electricians, or electrical engineers to keep machinery and equipment running correctly.\nPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nAssist to troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment, appliances, and apparatus.\nConstruct and fabricate parts, using hand tools and specifications.\nRead and interpret electrical and electronic circuit blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.\nAssist with the repair and replacement of defective components in motors, generators, controllers, switchboards, conductors, switches and varied electrical fixtures.\nInstall, maintain and repair electrical, electromechanical, and electronic parts of machinery and equipment.\nPerform preventative maintenance on electrical equipment.\nEvaluate electrical as well as operational problems.\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:\nAbility to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints\nThorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines\nExcellent problemsolving skills\nGeneral knowledge on electrical construction\nGeneral knowledge on tool upkeep\nEDUCATION, LICENSES AND EXPERIENCE:\nOneyear Electrical Technical certification\nCompletion of an electrical apprenticeship\nExperience operating hand and power tools, soldering and faulttesting equipment.\nWORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nPhysical Activity: Moderate physical activity.
