This may involve many parts, close tolerances and interrelated factors.\nPosition Responsibilities/Accountabilities:\nAssembles or produces component parts into completed units within blueprint specification and/or design tolerances.\nMaintains acceptable performance standards for assembly, production, quality, safety and housekeeping.\nPerforms minor adjustments, repairs or setups to equipment or machines.\nInspects parts or completed units by using visual inspection, gages, tape measures, check fixtures, calipers, or other inspection equipment.\nResponsible for proper daily storage of hand tools.\nCoordinates with other setup or leader personnel for associate job assignments, or setup personnel for movement of materials or coordination of duties.\n5S-Responsible for maintaining daily 5S standard.\nPerforms other duties as assigned by management.\nFollow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations\nKeeps production supervisor advised of work status, workload, problems and progress as related to work assignments\nCOMPETENCIES\n1 - 3 years' experience in cutting, fitting and measuring, ability installing/assembling components such as bus seats, windows, doors, interior lights, grab bars, and other interior bus fixtures.\n1 year experience understanding bus assembly processes, lean manufacturing concepts , experience blueprint reading skills, year experience in basic computer skills, basic math knowledge. Ability to understand written and verbal work instructions, Ability to understand and read blueprints.\nMay work various shifts\nWORK ENVIRONMENT\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to a high level of noise. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots, and hardhats. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.\nAbility to walk, stand, crouch, bend, kneel, lift, carry, and reach as needed in large and tight spaces.\nManual dexterity used regularly with occasional repetitive finger motion.
