Many different generations have experienced this extrodinary non-profit that services individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We have been around for 61 years. Our mission is to ensure community, safety, and fun! Role Description The Camp Nurse position is a full-time, on-site role located in Middlefield, CT. Responsibilities include overseeing the health and safety of campers, volunteers and staff, administering medications, providing first aid or care for minor injuries, maintaining medical records, and communicating with families when necessary. The Camp Nurse will also conduct health checks, manage medical supplies, and collaborate with the camp staff to promote a safe environment. Qualifications Physcian Assistant (PA),Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of ConnecticutKnowledge of first aid, emergency response, and medication administrationRecord-keeping skills, including maintaining accurate medical documentationStrong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with campers, staff, volunteers and familiesAbility to work well with othersPrior experience in a camp or similar setting is a plusCPR and First Aid certifications
