{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"32a7528a36737f97eaccc98e","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/32a7528a36737f97eaccc98e","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/32a7528a36737f97eaccc98e","title":"Elevator Service Mechanic","description":"Job Overview:\nThe Elevator Service Mechanic Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining the vertical transportation systems.\nEssential Functions:\nRepair, operate, maintain and repair the vertical transportation equipment and systems\nTest, maintain, and evaluate equipment\nEnsure proper operation of the system in compliance with required regulations and codes\nPerform all duties in a safe manner and in accordance with established work standards\nHandle after-hours emergencies of vertical equipment when on-call\nAvailable to be on-call rotation and when needed for emergencies in facilities\nPerform other duties as needed\nDependable attendance and punctuality\nQualifications and Competencies:\nMinimum of four years of vertical equipment maintenance and repair experience is required\nMust have the required skills, training and required years of experience to pass the State Elevator Mechanic’s license exam within 30 days of start date.\nPrior experience working on the following controls- ESI, MCE, SmartRise, Elevator Controls, Older Dover, DMC, Relay logic highlight desired.\nRoutes consist of mainly Hydro units and small taction cars.\nAbility to read, write, and interpret instructional documents such as safety rules, schematics, and manuals\nAbility to communicate clearly with peers, managers, and the general public\nBasic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Able to use a calculator\nMust be able to work independently, and safely\nMust be able to make sound decisions\nMust be constantly aware and alert of surrounding conditions\nThis position requires heavy lifting, moving, standing, and sitting.
