You will work alongside Cybersecurity, Software, and Hardware Engineers to help develop, implement, and maintain COMSEC solutions that support our mission.\n\nWhat You'll Do\nSupport the design, development, and integration of COMSEC systems and solutions across Blue National Security programs\nCollaborate with Cybersecurity, Software, and Hardware Engineers to ensure secure communications architectures meet mission requirements\nAssist in the development and maintenance of COMSEC documentation, including policies, procedures, and system specifications\nDevelop and maintain Verification and Validation (V&V) plans, requirements verification traceability matrices (RVTM), and test plans; coordinate verification activities across hardware, software, and integration test teams\nSupport assessments of communications security risks and contribute to mitigation strategies\nAssist with lifecycle management of COMSEC equipment and keying material\nEnsure compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and government directives related to COMSEC\n\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Systems Engineering , Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field\n3+ years of relevant experience in COMSEC or communications security engineering\nFoundational understanding of secure communications systems and integration\nBasic understanding of cryptographic principles and key management Familiarity with DoD COMSEC policies, NSA guidelines, and applicable regulations\nFamiliarity with satellite avionics systems and their role in secure communications\nFamiliarity with systems engineering principles, processes, and best practices\nExperience supporting requirements development, decomposition, and verification\nAbility to read and review electrical circuit schematics\nAbility to work collaboratively across engineering disciplines\nU.S. citizenship required\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nActive Top Secret security clearance strongly preferred\nExperience supporting space, defense, or aerospace programs\nHands-on experience with satellite avionics integration and secure communications interfaces\nExperience with full systems engineering lifecycle, from concept development through integration, test, and operations\nProficiency with systems engineering tools such as DOORS, Cameo, or similar requirements and modeling platforms\nExperience developing Verification and Validation (V&V) plans, test plans, and requirements traceability matrices\nFamiliarity with interface control documents (ICDs) and system architecture development\nExposure to cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, RMF)\nFamiliarity with hardware and software security integration\nRelevant certifications (e.g., Security+, NSA/DoD COMSEC training, INCOSE CSEP)\n\nBase Pay Range for:\nCO applicants is $90,934.00 - $127,307.25\nOther site ranges may differ\n\nCulture Statement\nDon’t meet all desired requirements?
