Program Assistants assist individual members with activities of daily living as needed, serve meals and snacks, and help to maintain a clean, orderly and uplifting environment. Our team members are expected to lead by example - maintaining a positive attitude; being a thoughtful, supportive, productive and dependable co-worker; keeping our members safe; and always working to enhance the health and happiness of the people we serve and those who care for them.\nQualifications\n\nHigh school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred or a minimum of two (2) years relevant experience.\nAt least one-year full-time equivalent experience in a health care setting preferred.\nPrior experience working seniors and/or adults with special needs preferred but not required\nEngaging interpersonal and communication skills.\nAble to multi-task and manage time effectively.\nAble to work a flexible schedule.\nAble to bend, pull, push, squat, turn, transfer, and lift 50 pounds; able to stand for an extended period while providing physical assistance to members\nSuccessful results of background check, and where applicable, additional state-specific regulatory requirements.\nJob Responsibilities\n\nAssist members with activities of daily living and personal care as needed (e.g. arrival and departure, eating, ambulation, transferring, therapies, rest room assistance, etc.).\nAssist in the planning and facilitation of creative and diverse therapeutic recreational programs and encourage member participation.\nServe meals and snacks and clear tables; assist with feeding as needed.\nObserve members for change in condition or unusual occurrences.
