Bring your expertise to the table and help drive innovation in mainframe technology!Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and enhance mission-critical mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, and DB2, including stored proceduresMaintain and support online (CICS) and batch processing systemsManage VSAM files, DB2 databases, and file processing utilities like SORTEnsure code quality, optimize performance, and adhere to industry standardsProvide Tier 2 and Tier 3 production support, troubleshooting issues such as batch failures, abends, and data inconsistenciesSupport Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS) for job scheduling and monitoringPerform root cause analysis and implement preventive solutionsCollaborate with middleware teams, including support for IBM MQ and CICS transactionsUse version control tools for code management and ensure proper documentation and complianceParticipate in system upgrades, modernization initiatives, release planning, and code reviewsRequired Skills & Technical ExpertisePlatform: IBM Mainframe (z/OS)Programming: COBOLDatabase: DB2, DB2 Stored ProceduresJob Control: JCLFile Handling: VSAMOnline Systems: CICSSchedulers: Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS)Middleware & Utilities: IBM MQ, SORTCode Management: LCM or similar toolsNice to Have: Experience with mainframe modernization, Hogan banking systems, Agile methodologies, automation, scripting, and experience working in support environments with 24/7 availabilityQualifications & Experience8+ years of mainframe development and support experienceProven success in production support environments, including critical production windowsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication, documentation, and collaboration abilitiesBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fieldWork Environment & BenefitsLocation: Cleveland, Ohio - REMOTE WORKRemote but must candidate must live in the eastern or central time zone. Must work on our W2.
