If you are a problem solver, a connector, and someone who enjoys helping others, then you might just be the next person to join this dynamic, growing, and global team.\n\nAbout the job\nJMP is looking for a Localization Engineer to create localized documentation and help for JMP Products and assist with engineering tasks to support localization workflows.\n\nAs a Localization Engineer, you will:\nCreate localized images for product documentation.\nCreate localized PDFs for product documentation.\nGenerate localized help.\nCreate localized JMP Documentation Add-ins.\nTroubleshoot DTP related process issues.\nExercise quality control procedures to ensure the final product meets localization quality standards.\nDocument localization processes and procedures specific to DTP tasks.\nUse Jira to track projects and keeps Jiras up to date with progress.\nTest screenshot scripts used to create localized screenshots.\nAssist in engineering tasks for translation workflow optimization, including file conversion and alignment with translation memory systems.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n\nAdditional Responsibilities\nCreate/modify document/graphics independently.\nCreate software screenshots independently.\nCreate animated. gifs independently.\nProvide innovative ideas to improve current workflow.\nAssist in projects as needed.\n\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in graphic design, Printing, Computer Science or related quantitative field.\nMinimum 3 years of related experience.\nKnowledge of foreign language structure and syntax.\nSkilled knowledge of software needed to perform roles such as FrameMaker, Oxygen and Snagit.\nWorking knowledge of software localization tools, methodologies, and languages.\nLanguage Requirements: Native or near-native fluency in Mandarin, with proficiency in written Simplified Chinese required. Strong written communication skills in English are required.
