We welcome all individuals.\nSummary:\n\nQuality Engineer will develop and maintain quality systems according to standards and to assist customers with any issues.\n\nEssential Functions:\nInclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.\n\nVOC:\nOngoing testing of parts ( Functional, Dimensional, Physical properties, etc.)\n\nCreate, update and maintain Quality Documentation, Customer Contact Reports, Customer Sort Reports, Information Relating to\n\nServe as a focal point of contact for internal and external customers.\n\nParticipate in / Initiate cross functional teams in the pursuit of effective problem solving and mistake proofing quality problems.\n\nTravel and provide support to customers to resolve problems.\n\nParticipate and Improve in product development meetings to review engineering changes, manufacturing methods, planning and\n\nprocess specifications related with product quality.\n\nCoordinate with customers, related with the quality performance trends and corrective action.\n\nCommunicate production and quality issues with employees and supervision when necessary.\n\nAPQP:\nResponsible for development and support of all APQP Documentation required for PPAP,etc.\n\nResponsible for development and support of all APQP Documentation required for PPAP, PSO ,etc.\n\nResponsible for the ECNs after SOP or programs in Production Phase.\n\nPrepare and submit APQP documentation.\n\nSupport and work with Materials and Production departments to plan and perform Run@Rates\n\nDevelop visual standards, system criteria, for use in manufacturing operations in a new launch and maintain for serial life products.\n\nResponsible for following all internal and OSHA required safety procedures.\n\nAdherence to all company policies and prcedures (i.e. quality manual, associates handbooks, level II procedures, etc.)\n\nPerform other duties as requested by the Quality Manager and Corporate Quality\n\nPerform and maintain layered process audit system\n\nCreate cell layouts, work instructions for new parts\n\nResponsible for participating in all customer quality audits (IATF, BIQS, etc.)\n\nDevelop and maintain quality system for projects assigned.\n\nLead and/or participate in implementation and discipline of SPC.\n\nDevelop all quality related instruction sheets.\n\nParticipate on 8D and Continuous Improement teams, provide problem solving consultations as needed.\n\nPut PPAP Packages together for submission to customer.\n\nResponsible or resolution of customer issues for the project assigned.\n\nProvide leaderhsip and guidance for quality personnel in the use of quality methods.\n\nDirect contact for all assigned customer base.\n\nWork with all customers for resolution of product quality issues.\n\nPerform all other duties assined by Quality Manager.\n\nReport any unsafe conditions to your Supervisor.\n\nContinue training as required.\n\nUnderstands customer specific requirements.\n\nPerform other duties and responsibilities as required by the Supervisor to maintain and operate a safe, efficient and quality conscious operation.\n\nQualifications:\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
