This role bridges communication between drivers and transportation coordinators, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. The Lead Driver is responsible for resolving immediate issues, supporting drivers, and maintaining compliance with safety and service standards. This position requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing safe, reliable, and compassionate transportation for PACE participants.\n\nEssential Job Functions\nLeadership & Supervision\nActs as the primary point of contact for drivers, providing guidance and support.\nTrains and mentors new drivers on company policies, safety procedures, and customer service standards under Transportation Management guidance.\nMonitors driver performance and provides feedback to improve efficiency and compliance.\n\nScheduling & Coordination\nAssists Transportation Coordinator in planning and adjusting routes to ensure timely patient pickups and drop-offs.\nCoordinates with dispatchers to resolve scheduling conflicts and optimize routes for efficiency.\nServes as back up for when coordinator is out of the office.
