We are seeking a detail-oriented professional with hands-on experience and a desire to lead and develop a growing team.\r\nIn this role, you will leverage your solid understanding of U.S. GAAP to ensure our company's finances are in order. You will manage and mentor a team of four accountants and support staff, driving efficiency and accuracy across the department.\r\nRESPONSIBILITIES\r\nManage the accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll activities, including the monthly close processes.\r\nManage and mentor a team of accountants and support staff, while providing guidance and fostering a collaborative work environment.\r\nCollaborate closely with the finance team to align budgets, streamline financial processes, and support strategic growth initiatives.\r\nWill support tax and audit workstream.\r\nEstablish and maintain internal controls to safeguard the company's assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.\r\nOversee bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and other accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.\r\nIdentify inefficiencies in accounting processes and propose solutions for improvement. Implement best practices across our businesses in the U.S. and Europe.\r\nEnsure compliance with US and partly European accounting principles (GAAP and IFRS) and local regulations. Stay updated on changes to statutory reporting and accounting standards.\r\nQUALIFICATIONS\r\nBachelor's degree in accounting. CPA designation is desirable but not required.\r\nMinimum of 6 to 10 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.\r\nIn-depth knowledge of GAAP.
