Intermediate Data Modeler

Federal Government Clearance Level Required: None Vacancy Type About Us Maplesoft Group is currently seeking a Remote Intermediate Data modeler for our client. Position Summary The Intermediate Data modeler will provide operational data modelling support to Hub data assets and data processing pipelines, focusing on logical and physical data models maintenance. Create DDL's and scripts to deploy schemas and tables across different accounts. Collaborate with the product delivery team to update existing data models. Key Responsibilities 1. Data Modeling & Design Develop, maintain, and enhance logical and physical data models for Hub data assets Apply data architecture standards, patterns, and best practices Use formal modeling techniques such as UML and ER diagrams Ensure models align with business requirements and data governance principles Provide ongoing operational support for data assets and data processing pipelines Ensure data structures support efficient ingestion, transformation, and analytics workflows Schema Development & Deployment Create and maintain DDL scripts for schemas and tables Deploy database objects across multiple environments/accounts Support versioning and automation through CI/CD pipelines Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement Work closely with product delivery teams to update and refine data models Translate business needs into scalable data structures Participate in discussions to improve data architecture and integration Tooling & Documentation Use data modeling tools (e.g., Enterprise Architect, Erwin, PowerDesigner) Maintain clear documentation of data models, definitions, and relationships Ensure consistency across models and environments Data Management & Governance Support reference and master data management practices Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across systems Work with AWS data services (e.g., S3, Glue, Athena, Redshift, Aurora) Optimize data storage and retrieval for performance and scalability Required Qualifications Data architecture experience including standards, concepts, patterns, best practices, and methodologies Logical & Physical Data Modelling experience Formal Modelling Notations (e.g., UML, ER) Experience working with Data Modelling tools such as SPARX Enterprise Architect or equivalent (e.g., Erwin, PowerDesigner) General understanding of Reference and Master Data Knowledge of CI/CD General knowledge of AWS data storage and analytics services (S3, Glue, Athena, Redshift, Aurora) General knowledge of databases (Oracle, Hive, NoSQL, PostgreSQL) Compensation Salary Range: $46.00 – $73.00 per hour Submission Deadline Thursday, May 7 2026, 7:00pm EST How to Apply Please submit your resume (and cover letter) to: https://www.maplesoftgroup.com/Careers/Career-Opportunities Maplesoft is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from all qualified candidates.
