Come join Wayzata Community Education as an Inclusion Specialist supporting our before and after school and full-day preschool programs. A successful candidate will be a decisive, relationship-driven leader who can work across multiple sites, coach staff, and build systems that support an inclusive environment for all.Your Role Will Include:Supporting students and staff across before and after school and full-day preschool programs to ensure a consistent, safe, and inclusive environmentVisiting sites to observe students with inclusion needs or behavioral concerns and consulting with Site Managers on accommodations and behavior managementCreating and updating individual accommodation plans using data gathered from parents, teachers, IEPs, 504 plans, and outside providersDeveloping and implementing positive behavior intervention and support strategies, reinforcing positive behaviors and calmly redirecting when neededTraining, mentoring, and coaching program staff on behavioral recommendations and inclusive practicesCollaborating with district personnel, families, and outside resources to ensure appropriate programming for all studentsCommunicating regularly with parents and staff through both written and verbal meansQualifications:BA Degree required; Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) preferredExperience working in an inclusion role with school-age children (ages 4–11) strongly preferredBackground in coaching or mentoring staff and working across multiple sitesStrong understanding of DEI principles and a personal philosophy aligned with the belief that all students and staff deserve to be includedValid Minnesota Driver's License requiredFirst Aid and CPR certification required; CPI training provided upon hireMust be able to pass a background checkSalary and Details:$80,914 – $98,748 annually, commensurate with experienceFull-time, 12-month position; Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PMOffice based out of the District Service Center; on-site at program locations approximately 25% of the work week30 hours of annual in-service training requiredIf you are a confident, flexible professional who thrives in dynamic environments and is committed to building inclusive communities for children and staff alike, we would love to hear from you.
