Join our fast-growing company as a Controller, where you will both advance the finance function and help shape the future of our business!\r\nAs our Controller, you'll be responsible for overseeing all accounting activities within the organization, driving process improvements, and ensuring financial accuracy and compliance. The controller is responsible for managing the monthly close process, financial reporting, internal controls, cash management and treasury functions, insurance, budgeting, and compliance. The Controller works closely with operations, supply chain, and executive leadership to ensure financial integrity and support strategic decision-making.You'll play a key role in modernizing and automating the finance function and finding opportunities to create value as we grow.\r\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\r\nLead month end and year end close process to ensure timely and accurate completion.\r\nLead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.\r\nDrive improvements and automation in financial systems and processes, and internal controls.Evaluate and implement tools and systems to improve financial reporting and operational efficiency.\r\nResponsible for managing AP, billing, cash application, credit and collections, expense management, and fixed assets and all other accounting related processes.\r\nEnsure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.\r\nCoordinate external audits and manage relationships with auditors.\r\nInternal Controls & Process Improvement\r\nMaintain and enhance internal control systems to safeguard company assets.\r\nIdentify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.\r\nDevelop, recruit, mentor and strengthen the Finance team, leading the AP, AR and general ledger functions.\r\nFoster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.\r\nLead cross-functional projects consistent with overall Company goals and value creation plan.\r\nTreasury Management\r\nMonitor cash flow and liquidity to ensure adequate funding for operations.\r\nOversee cash management activities.\r\nSupport financing strategies, including credit facilities and capital expenditures.\r\nInsurance & Risk Management\r\nAdminister corporate insurance programs, including property, liability, and workers' compensation.\r\nSupport risk assessment and mitigation strategies across the organization.\r\nBudgeting & Forecasting\r\nKey contributor in the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting process.\r\nProvide financial analysis and insights to support business planning and performance improvement.\r\nPOSITION REQUIREMENTS\r\nStrong knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).\r\nStrong leadership, team development and relationship-building skills.\r\nProcess-oriented with a passion for system improvement and automation.\r\nExcellent analytical, communication, and organizational abilities.\r\nTechnologically efficient, ideally with experience implementing accounting tools and AI-based solutions.\r\nAbility to make effective decisions under pressure, work within deadlines and the ability to work flexibly.\r\nExcellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.\r\nHigh integrity and a strong work ethic.\r\nGood understanding of health and safety best practices within a manufacturing environment.\r\nKEY COMPETENCIES\r\nAnalytical Thinking: Uncovers trends and opportunities in complex data.\r\nAttention to Detail: Ensures accuracy in models and reports.\r\nCollaboration: Builds trust across functions to drive outcomes.\r\nStorytelling with Data: Turns numbers into clear, relatable insights.\r\nInitiative: Takes ownership and drives continuous improvement.\r\nEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:\r\nBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CMA preferred).\r\n7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with some experience in a manufacturing environment.Food and beverage or CPG industry experience a plus.\r\nAdvanced Excel skills and experience with financial modeling.\r\nProactive and adaptable in a fast-paced, lean environment.\r\nExcellent communication and organizational skills.\r\nA passion for process improvement and continuous learning.\r\nThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature of work performed by employees assigned to this position.
