Our teams are empowered to grow, contribute, and make a meaningful impact through the projects we deliver.About Your RoleCMTS is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to support aviation, transportation, and public infrastructure capital improvement projects throughout the Washington D.C., Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) Region. The Construction Manager will oversee construction activities from pre-construction through project closeout while ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contract requirements.Education RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferredOr an equivalent combination of education, technical training, and relevant construction management experienceWhat You'll Need to Get the Job Done7–15 years of construction management experience supporting large-scale infrastructure, aviation, transportation, or public sector construction projectsStrong knowledge of construction management principles, construction sequencing, scheduling, budgeting, and contract administrationExperience managing contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and field personnel on active construction projectsStrong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, building codes, and project delivery methodsExperience reviewing RFIs, submittals, change orders, contractor pay applications, and construction schedulesAbility to identify project risks, construction conflicts, schedule impacts, and field issues while facilitating timely resolutionStrong knowledge of safety regulations, OSHA standards, and quality control proceduresExperience working in active operational environments such as airports, transit facilities, hospitals, campuses, or public infrastructure corridors preferredStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare reports, meeting minutes, executive summaries, and project correspondenceAbility to lead meetings and coordinate effectively with clients, contractors, agencies, and stakeholdersStrong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving capabilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in fast-paced environmentsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and TeamsExperience utilizing construction management software platforms such as Primavera P6, Procore, e-Builder, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar systems preferredAbility to travel P6Procoree-BuilderAutodesk Construction Cloud / BIM 360Microsoft 365What You'll DoManage and oversee construction activities for aviation, transportation, and public infrastructure capital improvement projects throughout all phases of deliveryCoordinate daily construction operations with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, airport operations personnel, utility providers, and project stakeholdersMonitor project progress to help ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contract requirementsReview construction schedules, sequencing plans, phasing plans, and contractor work plans to minimize operational impacts and support project successConduct field inspections and site observations to verify construction quality, compliance with plans and specifications, and adherence to safety requirementsMonitor contractor performance and assist in resolving field conflicts, schedule delays, unforeseen conditions, and construction-related issuesReview and process RFIs, submittals, change orders, contractor pay applications, and project documentationLead and participate in construction meetings, progress meetings, coordination meetings, and stakeholder discussionsPrepare meeting minutes, daily reports, field reports, executive summaries, and project status updatesCoordinate with design teams and consultants to facilitate timely resolution of technical and design-related issuesSupport procurement and bid phase activities including constructability reviews, contractor coordination, and evaluation supportMonitor compliance with client standards, applicable codes, regulatory requirements, operational constraints, and contract provisionsAssist with project budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking,
