Provide technical support to the Anesthesia, Orthopedic Surgery, Neurology, Operating Rooms, Dentistry and Oral Surgery, and Soft Tissue Surgery services, on a rotation, based on service needs. Responsibilities include but are not limited to anesthesia induction, anesthesia monitoring, surgical preparation for various procedures, training of various technical skills to students or residents, patient treatments, diagnostic sample collection and performing technical skills such as IV catheter placement, blood draws, urinary catheter placement.RECRUITMENT PERIOD ONE MONTH: Applicants will be screened on a weekly basis. The position can be filled prior to the apply by date.Apply By Date05/08/2026 by 11:59 pm QualificationsMinimum Qualifications - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the positionMust possess a California Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license or hold a current license in another state and obtain a CA RVT license within 3 months from the date of hire.No Minimum Education required.Experience to independently provide treatment of patients whose conditions are likely to change on a moment-to-moment basis.Experience calculating drug dosages and administering medications intravenously, subcutaneously, intramuscular or orally.Experience performing venipuncture, placing vascular catheters inducing anesthesia, monitoring anesthesia, and recovering patients from anesthesia, working independently with and without direct supervision.Experience in aseptic technique, surgical clipping and patient preparation, and circulation in an O.R.Experience to recognize normal and abnormal parameters for patients and how to respond accordingly.Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills to engage effectively with diverse students, staff, clinicians, and clients and the skill to recognize and manage difficult situations.Preferred QualificationsExperience in the use of various specialized surgical and diagnostic equipment.
