Lochner learn more about us\nWe seek a senior engineer to join Lochner as a Senior Structural Engineer. A successful candidate should be creative, and self-motivated, possess strong leadership and communication skills, passionate about delivering technically excellent designs for bridges, retaining walls, and other structures needed for the delivery of surface transportation projects. Bridge design experience includes reinforced concrete bridges, prestressed concrete design, post-tensioned concrete substructures, steel plate and box girder bridges, retaining walls, noise walls, box culverts, and sign and signal structures. This role may be responsible for supporting multiple projects across the US with a focus on the western United States. This role will likely generate opportunities to develop and expand on existing skills and knowledge of structural engineering designs.\nYour impact:\nCoordinate with project staff, other disciplines and sub-consultants, and reviewers to ensure accuracy and quality of work.\nMentor and train junior engineers.\nDevelop structural designs including bridges, retaining walls, and other structures including all necessary contract documentationfor surface transportation projects.\nAssist the project manager with maintaining project documentation, schedule, budgets, scope, and coordination.\nSupport proposal presentations and business development activities.\nParticipate with local associations and organizations to support new business opportunities.\nBuild relationships with local municipalities to help identify additional business opportunities.\nWho you are:\n4 Year Civil Engineering Degree\nMinimum 8Years Experience\nWashington PECertification\nWashington SE Certification required or ability to obtain within 6 months\nExperience in structural drafting with open roads is preferably desired.\nStructural design software experience preferred: PYWall/LPile, LARSA 4D, Mathcad, CSI Bridge, Leap Bridge Concrete, MDX\nBentley MicroStation, InRoads/OpenRoads experience\nCollaborative and ability to work independently or with a team.\nThe salary range for this position is between $155,000 and $195,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications.\nBenefits:\n401(k) 3% Match\nAD&D insurance\nDental insurance\nEmployee assistance program\nHealth insurance\nHealth savings account\nPaid time off\nProfessional development assistance\nTuition reimbursement\nVision insurance\nWork Environment\nThe work environment characteristics described are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
