This role ensures designs meet client specifications, applicable standards, and project requirements while supporting documentation, testing, and commissioning activities.Essential Duties:• Interpret client specifications and apply applicable industry codes and standards• Develop equipment specifications, bills of materials, and engineering drawings using approved tools• Prepare purchase specifications and ERP requisitions to support project schedules• Maintain revision control of specifications and drawings per change control procedures• Update drawings to reflect preliminary, manufacturing, as-shipped, and as-installed configurations• Support drawing updates during commissioning activities• Develop project documentation per design standards and requirements• Manage document distribution and archiving using established procedures• Implement control system software design requirements with project teams and clients• Develop control system software files and third-party system interfaces• Perform system testing and simulations to verify functionality• Support client witness testing and demonstrate system capabilities as required• Provide technical instruction during installation and commissioning activities• Support development of engineering standards and automation tools• Provide technical guidance to internal teams, clients, and suppliers• Perform on-site commissioning as assigned• Support collaboration, continuous improvement, and compliance with company proceduresRequirements/Skills:• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)• Minimum 2 years of experience in circuit design, control panel design, and/or industrial control system commissioning• Knowledge of control panel design standards including device and cable selection• Experience with industrial PLC systems and field I/O• Proficiency with AutoCAD or equivalent design tools• Strong teamwork, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills• Ability to maintain effective relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 15% with limited notice• Preferred: Experience with motor drives, utility-scale photovoltaic inverter systems, or control panel design• Preferred: Experience with PLC, distributed I/O, and HMI software development• Preferred: Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with Visual BasicPhysical Requirements:• Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods• Ability to review technical drawings and documentation• Ability to travel to and work at industrial job sites when requiredEqual Opportunity Statement:*Flexicrew Technical Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer; employment with FTS is governed on the basis of merit, competence, and qualifications.
