Come Join an Inclusive Team We are seeking a professional Electrical Engineer who can also provide instrumentation support to join our team! In this position, you will provide maintenance leadership and support for Equistar Pipeline's electrical assets and serve as an additional resource for instrumentation and control system needs.Particular responsibilities include: developing, implementing and improving maintenance practices for electrical equipment; supporting expense & capital projects as an electrical subject matter expert; overseeing installation of low voltage and medium voltage Power Distribution Systems (grounding systems, transformers, UPS, motors and motor control centers; supporting electrical equipment testing & inspection; and managing electrical classification documentation (one line diagram, electrical area classification, arc flash, etc.); assisting the SCADA/Control System group on the specification, troubleshooting, and maintenance of instrumentation, PLCs, and motor-operated valves. Candidate will work closely with Technical, Operations, Maintenance and Project Group personnel in the execution of these duties. This position will office at Equistar Pipeline's Clear Lake, TX facility, but has responsibility for assets from Corpus Christi, TX to Lake Charles, LA.A Day in the LifeFunction as the electrical technical lead for Pipeline maintenance and capital projects, including:Providing electrical engineering calculations, design, and specificationsReviewing design drawings and engineering specifications to ensure conformance with relevant company/industry standards and practicesInteract with engineers and construction contractors, both on-site and off-site, to ensure adequate design and proper installationEnsuring Data Management Systems are updated accordingly (SAP, Documentum, Controlled Documents, etc.)Support the operation and maintenance of electrical facilities at Equistar Pipeline sitesSystematically define, design, develop, monitor, and refine asset maintenance strategies and task lists/work instructionsUtilize predictive condition monitoring and other non-destructive testing methodologies to proactively identify potential reliability issuesApply value analysis to repair/replace/redesign decisionsSupport maintenance technicians with Electrical, Instrumentation and some Analyzer troubleshooting.Apply analysis techniques to identify, prioritize, and resolve leveraging electrical standards and proceduresSteward the development, implementation, and maintenance of Equistar Pipeline electrical and instrumentation standards and proceduresOptimize preventative maintenance practices, and co-lead Reliability Improvement Teams to improve system reliability.Support the development of Obsolescence and Long-Range Plans, which include identification of Bad Actor equipment and development of mitigation plansCreate Management of Change documents and lead evaluations for electrical and instrumentation reliability initiativesConsult, assist, and/or lead incident investigations and troubleshooting activitiesProvide training to others on new and existing electrical and instrumentation technologiesMentor less experienced engineers, and participate in LYB teams and networksYou Bring This ValueBS degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of industrial experience in Power Distribution within the pipeline and/or petrochemical industries requiredDemonstrated working knowledge of: industry codes such as NEC, ANSI/IEEE, API, NFPA, IEC, and their application; low and medium voltage switchgear/MCC design and operation; motors; UPS systems, and electrical system studies using SKM Power Tools softwareExperience conducting Arc Flash Studies and implementing required mitigation techniquesDemonstrated knowledge of electrical equipment maintenance and troubleshootingExhibit an understanding of business drivers, management of change requirements, reliability processes, and maintenance workflowSelf-directed with ability to work with minimal direct oversight; able to manage multiple/changing prioritiesExcellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skillsSome travel is required for this positionWhat We OfferLyondellBasell is proud to provide a competitive total compensation package designed to reward excellence and support the well-being of our employees.
