SecuriGence is seeking a highly skilled\r\nSolutions Engineer\r\nwith strong systems engineering expertise, deep technical breadth, and proven technical credibility to support DARPA product teams.\r\nThis role spans systems-focused and security-focused product lines, requiring an engineer who can operate as both a solutions architect and a hands-on implementer. You will design, implement, and integrate advanced technologies across secure, classified, and air-gapped environments while collaborating with cross-functional teams.\r\nYou will lead engineering projects end-to-end, drive architectural decisions, and continuously evolve our technical posture through learning and modern engineering practices.\r\nResponsibilities\r\nArchitect, design, and implement Linux- and Windows-based enterprise systems, backend services, orchestration platforms, and secure infrastructure components.\r\nSupport solution architecture and technical design for emerging DARPA product capabilities, producing system diagrams, interface definitions, and integration patterns.\r\nApply deep technical breadth across systems engineering, networking, cybersecurity, cloud, data flows, automation, and distributed systems to solve complex technical challenges.\r\nServe as a trusted technical authority, demonstrating strong technical credibility with engineering peers, stakeholders, and customer counterparts.\r\nEngineer, integrate, and maintain security tools (SIEM, SOAR, EDR, vulnerability management, host and network sensors).\r\nLead systems hardening, secure configurations, STIG implementation, and cybersecurity compliance activities.\r\nCollaborate across cross-functional product teams (systems, software, security, cloud, DevOps, research) to align engineering decisions with mission and product goals.\r\nDevelop automation and CI/CD workflows—including air-gapped pipelines—for deployment, testing, and configuration management.\r\nConduct advanced troubleshooting across hybrid infrastructures, distributed services, and mission-critical operational environments.\r\nContinuously evaluate new technologies, frameworks, and methods, demonstrating continuous learning and adaptability to evolving mission needs.\r\nEnsure project transition success by delivering strong documentation, knowledge transfer, and sustainment handoff to receiving teams.\r\nProvide occasional after-hours support to sustain critical operations.\r\nOther duties as assigned.\r\nQualifications\r\nBachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Engineering, Cyber Security, or related field.\r\n5+ years of professional experience in systems engineering, software/application development, or security engineering, including:\r\n3+ years in classified or air-gapped environments\r\nCompTIA Security+\r\nDoD IAT Level II or III Certification (or ability to obtain)\r\nDoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility, with the ability to obtain CI Polygraph\r\nPreferred Qualifications\r\nSuccessfully pass background and drug screening\r\nKnowledge, Skills, And Abilities\r\nTechnical Depth & Breadth\r\nDeep technical breadth across Linux systems, virtualization, networking, cybersecurity, cloud platforms, and distributed system design.\r\nStrong experience with Microsoft and Linux engineering (RHEL, Rocky, Ubuntu Server), SELinux, kernel tuning, systemd, and OS-level security.\r\nExperience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Salt, Chef) and infrastructure automation.\r\nHands-on experience with virtualization (VMware, KVM) and container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift).\r\nAbility to architect, design, and document complex systems and security solutions.\r\nExperience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) in secure or regulated environments, and good understanding of automation and CI/CD pipelines in air-gapped or restricted networks.\r\nSecurity Tools & Frameworks\r\nExperience integrating and operating SIEM/SOAR platforms (Splunk, Cortex, QRadar, Sentinel).\r\nFamiliarity with EDR, IDS/IPS, OSQuery, Suricata, Zeek, Tenable/Nessus, and hardening frameworks.\r\nStrong understanding of NIST, STIGs, RMF, ATO processes, and security architecture.\r\nSolution Architecture & Technical Credibility\r\nDemonstrated ability to support architectural decisions, evaluate alternatives, and propose secure, scalable system designs.\r\nRespected as a technical leader with the ability to influence engineering decisions and gain buy-in from diverse stakeholders.\r\nAbility to present solutions to leadership, external partners, and government stakeholders with clarity and confidence.\r\nCross-Functional Leadership\r\nProven experience working with multidisciplinary teams across
