This role ensures timely completion of maintenance tasks, compliance with safety standards, and execution of preventive and corrective maintenance procedures across all property areas.\n\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\n\nCoordinates maintenance activities and assigns shift work based on departmental needs.\nPerforms routine and preventive maintenance across property, including casino, hotel, spa, restaurants, pools, back-of-house, and grounds.\nOperates and maintains work order systems via computer and supports documentation of work completed.\nInspects work to ensure compliance with safety, timeliness, and quality standards.\nLeads by example and provides hands-on instruction in the safe use of tools and equipment.\nSchedules and adjusts workloads, evaluates staffing needs, and coordinates time off requests.\nProvides shift leadership in the absence of the Supervisor.\nTrains team members on proper procedures, safety, and new equipment.\nMaintains records including man-hours, incident reports, and task logs.\nProvides input for evaluations, promotions, and other personnel actions, though does not make final decisions.\nAssists with policy enforcement and adherence to departmental goals and performance standards.\nPerforms other job-related duties as assigned.\n\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:\n\nActs as lead team member on assigned shifts and oversees daily task execution.\nProvides direction and guidance to engineering staff and coordinates shift operations.\nAssumes supervisory responsibilities when designated by Supervisor or in their absence.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS:\n\nStrong working knowledge of building maintenance operations including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and landscaping.\nAbility to interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and building codes.\nKnowledge of vehicle operations and safety procedures.\nStrong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.\nAbility to perform and supervise a variety of skilled maintenance functions.\nMust demonstrate discretion and professionalism, especially regarding confidential information.\n\nEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:\n\nHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred.\nTechnical certification or vocational training in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or a related trade preferred.\nAssociate’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Maintenance, or a related field is a plus.\nMinimum of 5 years of experience in engineering, facilities maintenance, or skilled trades required.\nAt least 2 years of experience in a lead or senior technician role.\nAdvanced knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment.\nExperience coordinating daily work orders, preventive maintenance tasks, and minor projects.\nSkilled in troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance with minimal supervision.\nFamiliarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and building automation systems (BAS).\nPrior experience in a resort, hotel, casino, or other 24/7 operational environment strongly preferred.\nAbility to mentor and direct junior engineering staff.\n\n LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:\n\nMust have successfully completed a background check and obtained a gaming license issued by the Morongo Gaming Agency, as required.\n\nLANGUAGE SKILLS:\n\nMust be able to read and interpret documents in English, such as instructions, guidelines, policies, and procedures.
