With operations across the U.S. and globally, we are committed to safety, innovation, and quality while building products our customers depend on every day.\n\nJob Summary:\n\nAssembles fabricated parts, components, or units at floor stations. Tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications. Uses hand tools and power tools to assemble units by means of rivets, screws, adhesives, or other general fastening methods according to product specifications. Identifies units that fail tests or tolerance levels and repairs as necessary. 1-4 cells consistently w/ minimal supervision.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nUnderstand and carry out oral directions in English\nClose attention to detail\nFunction with a minimal amount of supervision or no supervision.\nSet work priorities to meet production goals as scheduled per assigned department.\nEstablish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those in contact on a day to day basis.\nMeet minimum standards of safety per assigned department.\nMeet minimum standards of housekeeping per assigned department.\nClean equipment as required.\nAssembly or assist in the assembly of each component per assigned department. Run air and power hand tools. Read and interpret shop orders.\nMeet all QA and QC standards for each assembly task per assigned department. Ensure parts are assembled per instructions for proper appearance and function.\nBe compliant with all the rules of conduct and attendance per the company handbook.\nOther duties and responsibilities as required.\nEnsure that hazardous waste that is handled is placed into the proper container(s).\nMaintains all satellite and storage containers in a closed position unless adding or removing waste.\nFamiliar with Hazardous Waste Contingency Plan.\nKnows spill response procedures and evacuation routes.\n\nQualification:\n\nAbility to read, write, comprehend, and verbally communicate simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.\nAbility to read English and Metric tape measures and use measuring devices.\nAbility to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards.\nAbility to recognize quality expected and be able to reproduce it.\nMay require 0-1 year of general work experience.\n\nDescription of Work Environment and Working Conditions:\n\nThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
