A successful HVAC Controls Technician applies engineering principles and practices to complete assigned projects, designs cost effective solutions to meet project requirements and develops positive working relationships with all company divisions and customers.\n\nPOSITION TYPE: Full-Time, overtime may be required based upon project needs\n\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:\n\nPossesses knowledge of Mechanical Systems and Controls.\nAble to interpret controls drawings, plans and specifications.\nAble to comprehend basic HVAC concepts.\nMaintains technical knowledge through required training and consistent review of product catalogs, specifications and dealer websites.\nDesigns and programs systems utilizing direct digital controls and automation systems for comfort control and energy savings.\nConfigures programs, graphics and alarms for site specific control systems.\nCreates installation, submittal and as-built drawings, and assists engineering in related close-out documents.\nAssists with final validation of system operation.\nProvides project team with technical direction and assists with programming, electrical terminations, commissioning, graphic development, test and startup as required.\nUtilizes a variety of hand tools and test equipment, and maintains tools and equipment for proper functionality.\nDemonstrates ability to manage time and job needs across multiple projects.\nServes as a direct customer contact, provides training and sustains customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, communicating with staff and providing customer feedback.\nSome travel with occasional overnight stays.\nFlexibility to work outside normal work hours/weekends, as required.\nOther duties as required.\n\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:\n\nThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.\n\n QUALIFICATIONS:\n\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
